CODE OF CONDUCT
Article I - General Behavior
Students shall at all times be neat, clean, decent in their clothing,
orderly, respectful, and courteous in their conduct.
Students shall refrain from using language and committing acts that are
disrespectful, vulgar, or indecent, or which in any manner may cause or tend to
disturb other students, faculty members, employees, or officials of the
Administration of the College.
Students shall not bring into the College objects, pictures, or literature
that are morally offensive.
Students shall not bring into the premises of the College any alcoholic
drink, or any prohibited drug or opiate, or enter the College premises under the
influence of liquor or drug.
Students shall not write or draw on blackboards and walls indecent or lewd
words or figures or any form of graffiti.
Students shall not damage any property of the College.
Students shall not bring into the College premises deadly weapons of any
kind, whether concealed or openly. The use or threat to use such weapons shall
aggravate the act.
Students shall not affiliate knowingly or unknowingly with any
unauthorized organization operating within the College.
Students shall not commit any form of littering or unsanitary acts within
the College premises.
Students shall not disturb classes.
Students shall follow all College rules and regulations governing them
during emergencies, such as fire, earthquakes, flood, etc.

Article II - Behavior in the Classroom
Students shall attend their classes regularly and punctually. Tardiness of
more than ten (10) minutes without justifiable reason shall be considered an
absence.
Students shall rise when called upon to recite or when propounding
questions to the professor.
Students shall leave the room quietly and in an orderly manner.
Students waiting to occupy a classroom shall enter only after the outgoing
class has left the room.
Students may leave the classroom only upon permission of the professor.
Students shall refrain from smoking inside the campus. Only the area under
the banaba tree is allowed to be used for smoking.
Students shall not cheat or commit any form of dishonesty in relation with
their studies.

Article III - Behavior in Libraries
Rules and regulations governing the use of the library shall be followed.
The following rules and regulations govern the use of the College library:
Silence must be observed at all times.
Smoking is strictly prohibited.
The main library is an "open stack" library.
Readers must show their ID card at the desk upon entry and library cards
upon borrowing and at the request of the librarian. Visiting researchers should
have identification papers and must register with the office of the Chief
Librarian.
For those with circulation privileges, a book is allowed out for one week.
Renewal may be granted if the book is not in demand.
Reserve books Open Reserves - Books used as accompanying reading for
course work have unlimited use in the reading room. This collection is located
in open shelves in the Reserved Section and may be there without being signed
out. Closed-Reserves - Books in demand prescribed
for course are charged out at the loan desk and limited from one to two hours
and overnight use. Books borrowed overnight may be checked out at 6:00 P.M. and
should be returned at 9:00 the following morning. There are, however, books and
other materials which may not be loaned overnight. Reference
Books - Reference books, special collections, curriculum materials collection,
periodicals and newspapers are to be used only in the library and in the
particular section to which they are assigned. If one wishes to use materials
elsewhere in the library, permission must be obtained from the librarian in
charge of the collection.
Fines and Penalties - All fines are computed per book,
overdue, as follows:
Late return of one-week books - P 4.00/day overdue.
Late return of reserved books taken for overnight use - P
10.00/day overdue and fractions thereof.
Any unauthorized withdrawal of books or materials is
considered theft and such act is cause of suspension of library privileges.
All library privileges may be suspended by the Chief
librarian for any cause deemed sufficient. Immediate compliance with the
librarian's direction is expected of all.

Article IV - Behavior in Corridors
Students shall not loiter or make any disturbance in the
corridors during class hours.
Students shall keep to the right when walking in the
corridors and stairways.
Article V - Behavior in Academic Functions
Students shall refrain from smoking and from making
unnecessary noise and causing commotion of any kind during academic functions.
Students shall refrain from leaving the hall during a
speech or performance.
Article VI - Behavior in Social Functions
Students shall attend social functions in clothing
appropriate for the occasion.
Students shall behave properly during social functions.
Students shall not "gate crash" a social
function.
Article VII - Behavior Outside the Campus.
Students shall at all times refrain from committing acts
that may embarrass the College or reflect dishonor upon it.
Students shall refrain from demonstrating amorous
affection and any other improper acts unbecoming of LC students, either inside
or outside the campus.
